Hallmarked for Moscow, 1908-1917, this cigarette case is 84 zolotnik silver (875/1000 fine). The maker's mark is A, but the second initial is unclear, possibly M. The face is decorated with engraved Art Nouveau plant fronds, as well as a peaked roofed cottage with a boat anchored in front.

It retains it original Moscow retailer's cardboard box.
