1913 Nicholas II Imperial Russian Alexander Alexandrovitch (Alexander III) Oyster Dish


Antique Russian porcelain oyster dish from an Everyday service made for Grand Duke Alexander Alexandrovich, (later Tsar Alexander III), by the Imperial Porcelain Factory, period of Nicholas II). The oyster dish from a service for the future Emperor Alexander III, in the Neo-Rococo taste, the handle molded with shell and scroll work, partially gilded, with the Grand Duke's Imperial cypher in puce, with darker puce borders enclosing two fine gilt bands.

There is an old repair to one side of the dish.
