1960s Italian Dyed Alabaster Campana Urn

A campana shaped urn in alabaster that has been stained blue. 18 cm tall and 12 cm in diameter. Staining alabaster decorative objects was typical of Italian production in the vibrant and colourful Swinging Sixties. This is a very restrained example. Over the top Italian flamboyance was very popular in the 1960s. Room images shown are of Australian rooms of the 1960s.
