C1670 or C1740 Dutch Engraving of Flora by Jan de Bisschop (1628-1671)
Jan de Bisschop produced two books of engravings of classical works for the instruction of young artists. This is a page 40 of the Signorum Veterum Icones. It had 112 illustrations. It was produced 1668-1669. Hendrik de Leth used the original plates in C1740 to re-issue the book. This engraving may be from that later edition.
The copper plate impression is exactly 211 mm by 90mm, and the 40 is indeed pen and ink, not a part of the printing method. This image illustrates the statue known as the Farnese Flora. The engraving is by Bisschop, and he reproduced a drawing by Pieter Doncker (1635-1668). who had travelled to Rome and studied the statues "in the marble". He was a student of Jordaens.
The frame is recent, and is 55 cm by 44 cm, and while not the best choice, in my humble opinion, is more than adequate, and certainly protects the artwork. https://www.britishmuseum.org/research/collection_online/collection_object_details.aspx?objectId=3373706&partId=1&people=132153&peoA=132153-2-60&page=1
