This 17th century Italian 38 cm by 45 cm canvas has been restored and relined in the not too distant past. Nevertheless, it has been much improved by a clean and varnish under our ownership. The reverse bears an inscription attributing(?) the painting to Carlo Dolce, which is clearly not right. nevertheless it is a good 17th century representation of the Christ in crown of thorns.
