A set of four Louis XV chairs from the age of Madame de Pompadour, by Pierre Forget (1723-6th July, 1789), whose workshop was at the rue du Charonne, Paris. He became a maitre in December 25, 1755, and was a prolific chair maker. He is represented in the Boeauvais Museum.
This set of four elegant and comfortable waxed beech chairs are signed to the rear of the back seat rail, and are upholstered (with springs) in a suitable pink lampas.
