C1780 Caughley Gilt Willow Pattern Saucer Bowl

Made by Caughley in between 1772 and 1799, Salopian ware is marked with an S. This fine condition saucer is a blue and white Willow pattern enriched with gilding which has barely worn. Diameter 12.5 cm and 3 cm tall. While this was originally a saucer for a handleless tea bowl, there is no well, so it can stand perfectly well independently.
