This assembled set of 6 Old English pattern dessert spoons comprises a matching set of 4 , and two singles. The spoons match very well. Each is 17 cm long and total weight is 168 grams.

The four are a rare set of 4 Newcastle spoons by Anne Robertson, who was the widow of John Robertson I. Anne Robertson ran the business from John's death in 1801 until she retired in 1811. Active in Dean Street, Newcastle. Hallmarks are Lion Passant, the three Xs, and the h king's head. No date letter. Sponsor's mark: A pellet R in oval cartouche.

One spoon is hallmarked for sterling, London and 1795. Rubbed sponsor's mark GS over ?, probably George Smith III and William Fearn.

The last is hallmarked for sterling, London, and 1808, with king's head. Sponsor's mark RC over GS. Richard Crossley and Gerge Smith IV, who were in partnership 1807 til 1812.
