C1815 Vieux Paris (Old Paris) Porcelain Landscape painted Cup and Saucer

Vieux Paris porcelain is seldom marked, due to the politics surrounding the 30 or so porcelain factories within Paris between the 1780s and the Second Empire. many of the factories had royal or aristocratic protectors. This cup and saucer is a fine example of Napoleon I to Charles X Vieux Paris. The landscape painting on the cup is particularly fine, showing two gentlemen and a girl, with a gardener in the background, within a park that includes a lake or pond. One gentleman, perhaps older, wears a tricorn, while the other a more modern top hat. The gilded bands are called Anneau d'Or : "golden ring" pattern.
