C1820 George III Regency Brass & Rosewood Round Dining or Centre Table

Spectacular and rare, this impressive, museum quality George III, Regency, Brazil Rosewood and cut brass table was made about 1820, a tad later than the illustrated textbook one from John Andrews book, 2006 ed. It has just been restored to pristine condition by the wonderful Piero Pompeani. The circular top is bordered with brass florettes within two brass bands, contrasting richly with the highly figured Rosewood. The base is similarly richly inlaid. Brass casters. It needs a very grand house or apartment, or the foyer of a luxury hotel.

Diameter  135 cm.   75 cm Tall.
