Fun for all the family!

Old Sheffield Plate was made basically between 1740 and 1840, after which the grossly inferior electroplating which replaced it. Old Sheffield, moreover, is coated with sterling silver (92.5%), so it has much better colour than electroplate. There is some "bleed", where the silver has worn, revealing the copper underneath.
