C1830 PAIR Vieux Paris Porcelain Comports/Baskets

$525.00 the impressive PAIR

We always have a good selection of Vieux Paris porcelain, made within the walls of Paris between the 1770s and the demolition of old Paris and its rebuild into the 19th century city we know and love, from the 1860s. This fine pair of corbeille on square bases is undamaged. The gilding on Vieux Paris porcelains is lightly fired and always fugitive, and here it is quite worn, giving a charming patina of age. This pair of baskets is typical of the work of the Restauration period:1814 to 1848, when the relatives of Louis XVI were again on the throne: Louis XVIII, Charles X, and Louis Philippe.

18cm tall and 20 cm diameter.
