C1830 Regency Rosewood Wine Table
This "wine table" stands 70 cm tall and the diameter is 38.5 cm. It was made in England about 1830, the tail end of the Georgian period and Regency style. The table is originally a sewing table, and retains the rotating basket at mid level, now very suitable for keys and remotes. The base is a tripartite platform raised on three disc feet. The top originally had a Rosewood gallery just like the smaller middle platform, but this is long gone, leaving a useful surface with a small turned boss in the centre. One spindle is deficient.
