C1835 Slops Bowl Hand Painted with Flowers, Blue Ground.

With a fractional Pattern Number 2/6261 this slops bowl from a tea service is possibly Ridgway, although I have not found a match, as such high fractional numbers exclude most other factories. Such bowls were an integral part of a tea service, and received the dregs, or slops, from the used cups before a fresh cup could be poured. Diameter 17.5 cm and height of 8 cm. The enamel painted flowers in the base are a little worn, but the blue ground and the rich gilding are in good condition.
