C1840 Spectacular Louis Philippe Paris Silverplated Food Warming Dome by Delprat
This large and impressive Louis Philippe food warmer is fused plate (Old Sheffield Plate, not electroplate) and was made in Paris by Jean-Barthelemy Delprat, of 23 rue Jean-Robert, Paris. His stamp was registered 10th January 1834. This versatile implement comprises a dome with a fine pomegranate finial, a serving platter, and a stand that contains spaces for two heating candles. These components can be used separately or together. Big and impressive, It stands 30 cm tall, and is 50 cm wide, and 28 cm deep.
