C1850 Bowers Cups and Saucers, each with Hand Painted Landscape

$40.00 each cup & saucer

The cup shape was registered in 1848 by George Frederic Bowers. His short lived firm produced high quality porcelain in the manner of Worcester and Coalport. We have about ten cups and saucer sets from this service. Gilding is in good condition. Some are coffee cups (right)  and some are teacups (left). The miniature topographical painting ion each piece are different, and well observed scenes of idyllic English country life.

Unmarked, but identified by the cup shape, see Berthoud's "A Compendium of British Cups".
