C1860 Staffordshire Greyhound Inkwell


Cute as a button, this English mid-Victorian (1850-1870) Staffordshire pottery greyhound is painted in naturalistic colours, and sits on a cobalt blue plinth with a gilt stripe. There is a hole for a pen. The greyhound has a a firing crack to the neck near his collar, and his right ear is a reconstruction. He is 112 cm tall, 16 cm wide and 6.5 cm deep.
