C1880 Hand Painted Glass Vase now as Electric Lamp

This late Victorian hand painted grey glass vase has just been made into a lamp, so all the wiring and fittings are new. It stands 52 cm tall with the new yellow shade. The vase itself is 29 cm tall exclusive of the brass electric fitting. The painting shows floral garlands in blue and white with gilding. A couple fo dragonflies enliven this scene. The central band is a Greek key pattern. There are further gilt bands. The gold "silk" cord comes out of the brass fitting above the vase to complete and antique appearance. It looks like the old gas light tubes.
