With gilt frames measuring 50cm by 58 cm, this is a wonderful pair of oil paintings. Pairs are difficult to source and are sometimes essential to an interior design. The colours are bright and airy and capture well the feeling of a rural European idyll. The frames are in excellent condition, as are the paintings. One seems to be an arrival at a cottage, while the other shows the departure from a cottage: a perfect balance.
