This pair of pretty Edwardian sterling silver teaspoons is hallmarked for London, sterling (92.5%) silver and 1911. The sponsor's marks is for Josiah Williams & Co (George Maudsley Jackson & David Landsborough Fullerton), of Three Queens Lane, Bristol & Thavies Inn, London Ec. Each spoon is 12 cm long and the pair weighs 28 grams. They are engraved in a vaguely late 18th century style and the initials are Hb. Collecting antique silver can be fun, and the hallmarks mean you can find out a lot about the tangible piece of history. At $40 the pair they are a great investment in meaningful objects.
