C1912 Imperial Russian Kuznetzov Commemorative Plate Napoleon in Furs


In winter clothes trimmed with fur, Napoleon and his retinue trudge through the snow. The 23 ck plate by Kuznetzov commemorates napoleon's defeat in his 1812 campaign against Russia. The apple green ground is richly ornamented with gilding. The backstamp includes the Imperial Double Headed Eagle, indicative of Imperial patronage. Excellent condition.
