C1810 French Walnut and Brass Bedside cabinet

Made in the Louis XVI style this marble topped table-chiffonier would originally have been an occasional table in a salon. Now it would be used as a bedside cabinet. It is mahogany-stained walnut and extensively enriched with brass, both the tiered brass gallery, and the bois laiton mouldings. One side has a compartment with a tambour door and a drawer below. the other side is decorated with three faux drawer fronts, each decorated with brass moulding. Probably the first quarter of the 19th century.
