Museum Copy Bronze Chinese Figure

$50.00 real bronze

Among China’s ancient bronze figure statues, one unearthed in the archeological site of Sanxingdui in Guanghan, Sichuan Province is the largest and the earliest of its kind that has been found so far. The original stands 2.62 metres tall, and dates from the Shang Dynasty (1600-1046 BC). Unearthed in 1986, the statue is currently exhibited in Sanxingdui Museum in Sichuan Province. You cannot have the original, but you can have a more manageable smaller replica, still made in actual cast bronze (not "cold cast bronze", which is resin and metal dust), or plastic.

This figure is heavy, but only 28 cm tall. The verdigris patina is unusually attractive.
