ODIOT gilt silver in the Rijksmuseum and our ODIOT knives

$750.00 set 6 knives

This is a wonderful display of silver gilt by Odiot in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. Our Odiot knives are much more modest but still delicious!

This set of six gold plated 950/1000 silver knives features silver blades, and a monogramme. The hallmarks are for 1838-1879 , and stylistically they date from about 1840: Louis Philippe period. Odiot is one of the two great Parisian silversmiths of the 19th century. The workshop produced much magnificent Empire silver for Napoleon Ist and his court. The knives are 20.5 cm long and the total weight of the six is 320 grams.

See the 1822 Levevre portrait if Odiot.
