Pair of 18th Century Dublin, Irish, Sterling Silver Serving Spoons.

$425.00 the pair

This pair of Dublin spoons is 23 cm long and together the spoons weigh 116 grams. The hallmarks are in the centre of the shank so they are early to mid 1700s. The marks were later moved to nearer the handle end. The date letter O must be 1762 rather than 1786, presumably. The maker MK, with serif, no pellet, in a rectangular cartouche is Michael Keating, his earliest mark. The monogramme in the bright cut decoration is an R and an A. The lower bright cutting on one has worn.
