Typical holiday snap of Roy
Oh, dear! Is that a balding patch. And I only admit to being (a totally plausible) 35 in public. This shows why one should always go to museums and galleries alone, to minimise the danger of camera addicts with a vicious streak. The chairs, however, were voluptuous, with robust eccentric saw marks and protruding pegs, with ochre paint slapped on underneath with careless abandon, and great shrinkage. Sensuous worn water gilding is a wonderful use for the shiny metal. Why waste gold on jewellery?? Delicious! You will see why I am am considering knee pads next trip. Or possibly a yoga mat? So many chairs, such hard floors.
