Decorated with the "Old Style" or "Wings Down"

coat of arms, this service, begun in the 1830s,

has been housed in the Gatchina Palace since the

mid 19th century.  This is a particularly elegant

Palace service design. This plate is a Nicholas II

period Imperial Porcelain Factory addition.
