Hallmarked with import marks for Vienna, 1902-1918, this pair  of fish servers is made of (probably) 800 silver and with silver plated steel blade and tynes.. The wonderful silver handles are in the revived Louis XVI style of the 1770s. The import marks are the only marks so the silver was almost certainly manufactured in Germany specifically for export, not for release within Germany. A number of German silver manufactories produced silver specifically for export to Austria-Hungary, elsewhere, and particularly for Britain.  The knife is 27 cm long and each handle is 11.3 cm long.
