PAIR C1810 Regency Porcelain Plates Richly Painted in Cobalt Blue, Flowers and Gilt.

$465.00 the arresting pair

Each of the pair of plates is 21.5 cm in diameter. They are probably the pair of bun plates from a tea service. The central well is curiously painted with a concentric brick or trellis pattern. The very wide border is painted in a deep, rich cobalt blue and lavishly gilt with leaves and flowers. There are three round white reserves that are each painted with different flower sprays. Unmarked. Opulently decorated and in excellent condition, these would make a spectacular display, or present a tiny gateau to perfection.
